The most consistent Ghanaian player in the 2018/19 Italian Serie A season, Yusif Raman Chibsah, is confident the Black Stars can win the trophy at the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.
The midfielder made the most appearances, ahead of compatriots Kwadwo Asamoah, Alfred Duncan, Afriyie Acquah and Nicholas Opoku but believes Ghana have the right quality to rule the African African for the fifth time after coming close thrice since 1992.
“From 1992 we have come close thrice and we can win it for the fourth time if we get to the finals,” he told Starr Sports.
The Black Stars have been drawn in Group F of the Nations Cup with defending Champions Cameroon, Guinea Bissau and Benin.
Meanwhile, Coach Kwesi Appiah is yet to name his team for the biennial competition with less than 50 days to go.
