The Mortuary Workers Association of Ghana has called off their planned nationwide strike following ongoing negotiation between the association and the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission, Starr News has gathered.

The Association last week announced it would embark on another nationwide strike today in protest of better working conditions and salaries.

Starr News’ Daniel Nii Lartey visited the Korle-Bu Mortuary in Accra and confirmed that the Mortuary attendants are busily working, as relatives of deceased trooped in to pick up their deceased bodies.

A Mortuary Worker confirmed that the strike has been called off till further notice.
