Two important awards were withheld at the controversy ridden VGMAs last night as the potential winners caught in a brawl that marred the show.

The coveted artiste of the year and most popular song of the year awards were not announced as arch rivals Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale and their supporters became of the melee that halted the 20th edition of the show for several minutes.

Stonebwoy pulled a gun on stage as Shatta Wale also mounted the podium after his rival had been named  Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the year.
