Work has begun on the construction, repair and rehabilitation of roads in the Ablekuma West Constituency.
The project would see the construction of the 2.9km Western Link road, which on completion would become an alternative for the main Dansoman highway.
The project which is being executed by Oswald Investment Limited would also give the entire constituency a major facelift when completed, the Member of Parliament for the area, Ursula Owusu Ekuful said.
It would be recalled a pro-development group took to the street in March to protest the deplorable state of roads in the constituency, an incident Mrs Owusu-Ekuful acknowledged in a ceremony to cut sod for the commencement of work last month.
“There’re constant complaints and a desire by the people resident in this constituency to see something done about it,” she said.
