The Kaneshie Area of the Church of Pentecost has inaugurated its Workers Guild for the church at the Kaneshie Central Auditorium, Accra.

The ceremony which took place on Monday, July 29, 2019, saw members of the church grouped under their respective professions.

In a speech to inaugurate the Area Workers Guild, the Kaneshie Area Head of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Mike Etrue posited that Christians are the majority with regards to the country’s population yet corrupt practices keep increasing making many lose trust in Christianity.

He also pointed out that if a member of the church cannot be trusted by his organization then his salvation is at stake.

Apostle Etrue entreated members of the Workers Guild to be faithful in their field of endeavours.

“If a member can’t be trusted by his organization then his salvation is at stake. It is unfortunate that many members falsify figures for their own selfish interest which does not please God.” Apostle Mike Etrue said

He further advised that members of the church can possess nations with ease if they remain loyal to their task assigned them.

Basing his sermon on 1 Corinthians 4 vs 1 – 3, he stated that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.

Making reference to the story of Joseph and his master Potiphar, Apostle Etrue said though Joseph’s integrity led to prison rather than a promotion, God later honoured Joseph’s faithfulness in a far greater way.

“What testimony can people give about you at your workplace?” Apostle Etrue quizzed

He, therefore, charged members of the church to apply their God-given talents and abilities in a way that advances His purposes and brings Him glory.

“Every field of endeavour you find yourself, as a member of the Kaneshie Area church of Pentecost prove to be faithful.

“If officers of the church are faithful, possessing the nation will be easy for the church,” Apostle charged workers

The guild will serve as platforms for the church to relate directly to its members in the various professional spectrum of the country.The various guild will also help inform the Kaneshie Area’s position on specific work issues.

The workers guild inaugurated includes; Health, Environmental/Contractors, Media, Judiciary/Legal service, Entrepreneurs, Entertainment and music, Hospitality, Transport service, Education, Dressmaking and fashion, Security and Banking/Finance/Human Resource.

The Area Head prayed for all Coordinators of the various workers guild and tasked them to hold innovative programmes.

The inauguration was attended by all twenty-two District Ministers/Wives in the Area, Area Office Staff and members.
