The Governing Council of the Ghana Chamber of Construction Industry (GhCCI) resolved to announce to the General Public that, due to the informed tensions and consequential agitations of staging Nation-wide demonstrations by Building and Civil Engineering Contractors, Road Contractors, Consultants, Electrical Contractors and Suppliers for delayed payment of works done which span over three years, Leadership is proud to inform the Construction fraternity that a lot of healthy negotiations were done and still ongoing between the Government of Ghana and the Ghana Chamber of Construction Industry (GhCCI) to curing and putting to rest, the canker of delayed payments in the Construction Industry entirely.

Hence, as part of the process to the curing stage, the leadership of the Ghana Chamber of Construction Industry is officially announcing through it Constituent Members;

  1. Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE).
  2. Ghana Institution of Surveyors (GhIS);
  3. Association of Road Contractors (ASROC);
  4. Association of Building and Civil Engineering Contractors of Ghana (ABCECG);
  5. Ghana Institute of Planners (GIP);
  6. Progressive Road Contractors Association (PROCA);
  7. Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), Ghana Hub;
  8. Ghana Electrical Contractors Association (GECA);
  9. Artisans Association of Ghana (AAG);
  10. Ghana Electronic Security and Safety Association (GESSA);
  11. Ghana Institute of Architects (GIA);
  12. Ghana Real Estate Developers Association (GREDA).

That, each Constituent Member of the Chamber is to immediately take steps to collate Certificates for Payment of all Building & Civil Engineering Contractors, Road Contractors, Consultants, Electrical Contractors and Suppliers across the entire Country and submit same to the Chamber leadership accordingly. This is to enable Chamber leadership to be equipped with better and further particulars of facts and figures in order to present an accurate data for prompt payment.

Furthermore, leadership of the Chamber is also advising all Building and Civil Engineering Contractors, Road Contractors, Consultants, Electrical Contractors and Suppliers to humbly collaborate by submitting their Payment Certificates to the following persons as directed.
