Former Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association, Randy Abbey has filed for nomination to contest for a slot on the Executive Council of the Ghana FA on Thursday.

The Metro TV Morning show host and a former student of Accra Academy is believed to be one of the epitomes of football administrators in the country and when given the opportunity could revive the dwindling image of Ghana Football according some renowned football administrators.

Starr Sports checks from the FA Secretariat  reveals that, the owner of Kpando Hearts of Lions is the third football administrator to disclose his candidature after Ashantigold Chief Executive Officer Frederick Acheampong and Kotoko’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), George Amoako.

Abbey is likely to sail through easily despite coming from a division representation. However the updated reforms will see a reduction of the composition from 23 to 12 members this time round.

The GFA Executive Council elections are set to be held on October 24.
