Hundreds of National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters in the Suame Constituency of Ashanti region Friday evening held a mini float despite the rains at Old Suame to declare the support for Emmanuel Kwaku Boahen while he  filed his nominatio to contest for the party’s parliamentary primaries.

The relatively young politician was accompanied by some delegates of the party including some old women in Suame describing him as humble and a true ‘son’ of the constituency born and bred in the Breman traditional community.

Chairman of the constituency Seeba Mohammed Zeeba who received the nomination forms of the young politicians after reading through it commended him for meeting the requirement.

“After reading through your forms I haven’t found any mistake in the forms therefore I will like to inform you that, start preparing for the vetting which will come off on 10th October, 2019. But before then I will entreat you and your supporters to do a clean campaign devoid of offensive language on your opponents. As the father of the constituency I want to head a united constituency in this parliamentary primaries so please help I and my executives,’’ he cautioned.

While addressing the party delegates , Mr. Kwaku Boahen commended delegates of the party, friends and family members for showing him  love by walking with him in the rains to file his nomination.

“Wow! am amazed at the support you delegates, my family and friends have demonstrated to me today in this rains. Your commitment to me truly demonstrates you are ready to capture power back to the party. You all heard the plea of Chairman Zeeba? I will like to assure you all that, I Emmanuel Boahen will conduct a peaceful and issue based campaign in the primaries devoid of foul language that will undermine my opponent. Therefore I expect you all to do same so we can work together after the primaries,’’ he assured.

He then turned the heat on the Majority Leader and parliamentary affairs minister of Parliament Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu for not living to the expectation of votes offered him in the past 20 years as member of parliament for the Suame Constituency.

“In the last 6 years Our MP kept telling us the then NDC government refused to fix Suame roads because the constituency is a known NPP seat. Three years of NPP into office what do we see in Suame, have they fix our roads in Suame, Takwah-Maakro, Breman and Kronom and other communities ? Never trust the NPP because they care less about Suame people. Therefore let’s work hard to return John Dramani Mahamaand NDC into office for our share of the national cake,” he said.
