Tullow Ghana sees stakeholder management has part of doing good business hence their consistent engagement with the custodians of the land they operated in, Mrs. Cynthia Lumor, Director of External Affairs with Tullow Ghana has noted.

At one such engagement with The Western Regional House of Chiefs, Cynthia Lumor, stated in an interview with the press that “we do this every year to update the chiefs on whose lands we operate on what is happening in the industry, explain our vision to them, solicit their continuous support and also listen to what they have to tell us”.

Tullow, she hinted was now focusing more attention on Africa and its broader and new vision of ensuring sustainability and progress in all their operations.

She described Tullow Oil Ghana as a respectable and valuable company in the oil and gas supply chain adding, the company was doing great in terms of production, stakeholder engagement and exploration.

” Western Region plays a key role in our operations…indeed everything we do starts from here,” she added and hence we will continue to support the region in the area of education especially to help its indigenes.

“About seventy (70) percent of most of our educational scholarship beneficiaries to KNUST and Ahysie Universities were from the Western Region”

In other areas of education madam Lunour hinted that they have constructed School Laboratories to facilitate the company’s STEM project, Archbishop Porter Girls SHS here in the Western Region is a beneficiary we have we are also constructing dormitories across the country and 50 percent of beneficiary school will be from the Western Region”.
