Teaching and learning of Mathematics at the second cycle school level is expected to see massive improvement with the donation of textbooks from the MTN Ghana Foundation.

The Foundation on Wednesday donated the 2,000 Math textbooks worth Gh¢60,000 to 6 Senior High schools across the country.

The Bonwire Senior High School and the Simms Senior High School in the Ashanti region respectively, received 300 textbooks each.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) and the West Africa Examinations Council (WAEC) have continuously expressed concern about the poor performance of students regarding Math.

MTN says it believes the teaching and learning of the subject is also relevant to the overall objective of whipping up interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) courses.
