Director of Political Affairs at the Office of the Chief of Staff Frank Asiedu Bekoe has challenged former President John Mahama to lay bare his policies that will convince Ghanaians to vote for him in the 2020 polls.

According to him, since the implementation of the Free SHS policy by the NPP government , there has been a back-and-forth debate between the two leading political parties over how the policy should have been implemented.

Mr. Asiedu Bekoe was speaking at the handing over ceremony of the party’s Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) at the University of Professional Studies in Accra.

“The NDC has on several occasions suggested that under their tenure, there will be significant changes in how the policy is implemented moving forward I am challenging the NDC and its flagbearer to lay bare whichever plans they had concerning policy.
The NDC should tell us their counter policies to the Free SHS. What will He (John Mahama) do?”, he questioned.

Mr. Asiedu Bekoe further cautioned Ghanaians to stop harboring thoughts that the National Democratic Congress is a better alternative for Ghana, describing such thoughts and statements as scary.

He added that the 2020 elections was not going to be based on emotions and insults but rather what both governments did when they were given the nod.

“The 2020 elections will not be based on propaganda, emotions and insults but it is going to be based on issues. What you did when you were President and what we are doing. Ghanaians are wide awake and are going to compare, contrast and expose the NDC”, he said.

He stated confidently that Ghanaians are awake and do not just vote for any candidate or party but are very analytical of policies presented by the parties and their candidates by comparing and contrasting.

He urged the students to support the free SHS policy reiterating its importance to the country’s growth and development.
