The Egyptian Football Association has confirmed that Mohamed Salah is set to sit out of the African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Kenya and Comoros.

Salah seemed to have sustained another knock on his ankle in Liverpool’s win over Manchester City after previously suffering an injury in the 2-1 win over Leicester City.

The 27-year-old failed to complete the game against City but traveled to Egypt to undergo scans that would determine if he would be able to feature in the AFCON qualifiers.

According to a tweet by the EFA, Salah will not be able to feature against Kenya on Thursday 14th and Monday 18th November.
