The 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season is scheduled to begin on the weekend of 27-29 December 2019 at match venues across the country.

The 18-club topflight league will kick off from the weekend of Friday 27 December 2019, with matches to be scheduled for Saturday and Sunday December 28th and 29th December respectively.

The kick off date for the Premier League was reached during a stakeholder engagement today between the Executive Council and Premier League clubs.

The Premier League had been earlier scheduled to commence on the weekend of December 21st.

Meanwhile,the Premier League Clubs have nominated five members to the new Premier League Management Committee.

Alhaji Braimah Akanbi, John Ansah, Francis Adjei Yeboah, Delali Senaya and Linda Ansong have all been nominated on the new Premier League Management Committee which will serve a one-year term.

Lepowura MND Jawula and Mr. Jesse Agyapong were earlier named as Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Premier League Management Committee respectively.

GFA will engage the Premier League Clubs towards an autonomous Premier League.
