Over thirty masquerades group in Westen Region’s Capita Takoradi participated in the second edition of Tadifest on December 25th, 2019
The Carnival undoubtedly the biggest outdoor event in the Western Region is solely the brainchild of Empire Fm which transmits on 102.7 with support from its sister platforms such us Radio 360 (90.1fm), GHONE TV and Agoo TV are all subsidiaries of the EIB Network, the biggest media brand in Ghana.
TadiFest climaxed the week-long activities such as the oil city health walk and the Western Region Music Night literally brought Takoradi City to a standstill.
The Carnival experienced massive turn out from the masquerade groups and people from all walks of life
The masquerade groups took to the stage amidst fireworks to depict their supremacy. Some of the groups that participated in the Carnival include Tumus, Sunato, Cosmos, Ankos, USA, Canada, Supreme, Panya among the rest.
Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah and Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly Mayor among other key personalities were there to grace the occasion and described the Carnival as a strategic asset to brand the city as the best destination for holidaymakers as far as Christmas is concerned.
Business Manager at Empire FM Enoch Kweku Asare said TadiFest was successful and hopes the standard will be worked on to make it very entertaining and engaging in 2020
