The Ashanti regional police command is set to launch ‘operation produce your driver’s licence’ as part of measures to ensure adherence to road traffic regulations.
The operation will see police officers on traffic duties asking drivers in the region to show their licenses when they stop them.
Consequently, the police has appealed to drivers in the region to carry their licenses with them as they drive.
The move comes after 35 passengers died in an accident at Dompoase in the Central region.
