The Member of Parliament for Elelbelle Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah has launched the ‘Food Bank’ project to support and feed the elderly, sick and the less privileged in the Ellembele District and its immediate environs.

The Food Bank, which is a brainchild of the former Minister of Energy in the Mahama Administration, is to alleviate hunger in the district.

“I am mostly worried about how the poor in society feed themselves, some of them it’s no fault of theirs and these are the people I’m concerned about,” he told Empire FM Emmanuel Oheney Gyan.

The project It will receive donations from the general public and then distribute to everyone who falls in the defined category.

According to sources, the Food Bank is strictly not a partizan initiative and will be managed by non-politicians – mainly the Clergy, Chiefs and Imams in the district.
