The Chief of Staff Akosua Frema Osei-Opare and former Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon has served cooked food to vulnerable residents of the constituency.

Akosua Frema Osei-Opare who is offering similar support in other areas is doing this in consultation with the MCE of Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly Sandra Owusu-Ahinkorah alongside the nineteen assembly members.

From yesterday April 12, each of the nineteen assembly members received a total of 100 packed foods per day for distribution in their electoral areas for the next couple of days.

This gesture by the Chief of Staff follows in the heels of distribution of bags of rice and oil by the Assembly and other exercises being undertaken by NADMO and other agencies.

Also, entrepreneur and owner of East-Legon based kids shop ‘Sprogs Kids’ Nada Mettle gave fifty 5kg bags of rice as well as fifty 1 litre vegetable oil tp the assembly to be distributed to the vulnerable in the area..

Assembly members who received the food on behalf of their electoral areas expressed their appreciation to the Chief of Staff for not turning her back on them several years after exiting Parliament.

They also praised the non- partisan nature in which the food is been distributed.

Some beneficiaries were happy about the quality of food and variety, with one recipient saying “yesterday it was fried rice and today its jollof”

“Whiles we pray for the pandemic to go away, we will also praying for God to bless her for her support,” another said.
