Karpowership Ghana, a member of the Karadeniz Energy Group in Turkey and Rocksure have made significant donations to the Covid-19 National Trust Fund set up by government to support the needy and vulnerable in Ghana during the period of lockdown.

A three-member delegation led by the Communications Manager of Karpower, Sandra Amarquaye, presented a cheque of GHC300,000  to the Chief of Staff at the Office of the President, Madam Akosua Frema Osei Opare, at a brief ceremony at the Jubilee House.

At the same ceremony, the Managing Director of Rocksure International, Kwasi Osei Ofori also Presented fifty thousand Dollars ($ 50,000.00) to the fund.

Sandra Amarquaye, in a brief statement, said the power company feels obliged to make a contribution to the nation’s battle against the deadly Covid-19 pandemic. She added that Karpowership is ready to assist the administration of President Akufo-Addo, to fight and stop the spread of Covid-19 in Ghana.

Chief of Staff Madam Akosua Frema Osei Opare on behalf of the President of the Republic expressed the appreciation of the State to Karpowership for their kind gesture. She added that the administration through the Covid-19 National Trust Fund will ensure the judicious use of the funds to support the needy and vulnerable.

Oswald Limited through its Managing Director, Humphrey Williams also presented two hundred and fifty thousand Ghana Cedis (GHc 250,000.00), to support all efforts aimed at taking care of the needy and vulnerable in affected areas of the nation in these challenging times of battling Covid-19.
