Fear has gripped inmates and officers of the Kumasi Central Prisons after an inmate reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.

The infected inmate, who is serving an eight-year-jail her, was admitted at the Komfo Anokye Teaching hospital last Friday after showing signs and symptoms of the virus, a source told Starrfm.com.gh.

Meanwhile, the National Health Insurance Authority has asked staff at its Head Office with underlying health conditions to stay home after eight of its executives including the CEO Dr Lydia Dsane-Selby tested positive for Covid-19.

The company is also barring persons who do not work there from entering the premises.

This comes after a Starr News exclusive that revealed the Coronavirus status of these executives.

Among the executives who have reportedly tested positive are Deputy CEO Finance and Investment, Deputy CEO HR and Admin. and Deputy CEO Operations.
