A former black Stars player Derek Boateng believes the Spanish La Liga is the best league for players from Ghana.

According to the former Getafe CF playmaker in an exclusive Instagram chat with Starr FM’s Benjamin Yamoah, the system of play of teams in the Spanish league is suited to players from Ghana since it accommodates players with ball juggling skill and dribbling abilities.

“The La Liga is the best league for African players because the teams there play very expressive football and that’s exactly what Ghanaian players are good at, that makes it the best place for our players in Ghana, the exact reason why the likes of Thomas Partey and others currently playing in Spain are excelling in Spain”.

Quizzed on whether Ghana’s Thomas Partey should make a move into the English Premier league or stay with Athletico Madrid, the Former Getafe CF advised the player to critically analyze the situation before a decision is taken.

“The only advice I will give Thomas Partey on his rumored move to England is for his and his team to critical assess the situation well and decide based on where he will be very appreciated, happy and get playing time as well, I can’t tell him to stay or move but he must think critically about it”

Derek Boateng was a key member of the Black Stars at Ghana’s World Cup campaign’s in Germany(2006) and South Africa(2010) with Ghana reaching a record equaling quarter final appearance.
