Arguably the biggest fashion house in the country, Pistis GH has given out out 1,000 nose masks to head porters ‘Kayaye’ at the Madina Market Sunday June 7.

Following observation by the company that the head-porters do not adhere to the Covid-19 safety protocols including wearing of nose masks especially when carrying out their activities, decided to show the kind gesture.

The donation is part of the company’s Covid-19 contribution where for every nose mask the company sells, one is given to the less-privileged.

Actress and broadcaster Naa ashorkor Mensah-Doku assisted Pistis in carrying out the donation. She encouraged all the market folks to endeavor to stick to the Covid-19 safety protocols.

Pisits gave out 500 nose masks June 7 and gave out another 500 June 28 to avoid crowding. More donations will subsequently be made as the company makes sales.

Queen Mother of the Kayaye at the market, Rubaba acknowledged that education was low concerning Covid-19 at the market.

She promised to continue to admonish the Kayaye to wear the nose masks at all time whiles thanking Pistis GH for the donation and education.

Speaking to starrfm.com.gh, Kabutey & Sumaiya Dzietror described the non-adherence o the Kayaye to the Covid-119 protocols as unfortunate.

The however noted that their company would continue to contribute its quota by educating the less-privileged through its donations.
