The Eastern region has recorded new COVID-19 related deaths increasing the regional mortality to eighteen (18), the Regional Health Directorate has revealed.
This is an increase from the figure of six (6) deaths recorded on the official website of Ghana Health Service -Headquarters.
Twelve (12) Coronavirus deaths have been recorded in New Juaben South While Akuapem North has recorded two(2). Lower Manya Krobo, Denkyembuor, New Juaben North, and Kwahu South have recorded one case of death each.
Meanwhile, there is a spike in the regional case count moving it from 1416 to 1,632 as of July 30,2020.
Out of the number a total of 1,406 have recovered. They are made up or 121 discharges base on two negative test results and 1,285 Discharges based on days spent and not showing symptoms.
