The New Patriotic Party affiliated campaign group, HOPE campaign, has taken political campaigning in Ghana to a new level after successfully holding the first ever virtual rally in the country.

On Sunday, HOPE campaign held a virtual rally to convince Ghanaians on why the Akufo-Addo led administration deserves another four-year mandate to rule Ghana.

Speaking at the Maiden edition of the Round 2 Virtual Rally on Sunday in Accra, Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah noted that the current administration has in three and half years laid a good foundation for the transformation of the country.

“There are those who argue that this election is about those who can make the most mouthwatering promises to young people. Promises are important and they are easy to make but I dare say that this election is not so much about who can make the best promises to young people. It is about who has the best track record when it comes to supporting the young men and women of Ghana.

“This election is about who we can have trust in and who has credibility to deliver on commitment to young people. This election is about who demonstrate that he is able to lay a good foundation for the transformation of this country. And finally, this election is about who responds to the single most important thing that young persons worry about,” he said.

The virtual rally was necessary to avoid the risk of holding large campaigns in the era of COVID-19.

The HOPE campaign, one of the campaign strategies rolled out ahead of the 2016 election is credited as immensely contributing to the victory of President Akufo-Addo.

It recently rolled out #Round 2, a strategy aimed at ensuring that the NPP wins a second term in the December polls.
