Government spokesperson on Governance and Legal affairs Herbert Krapa has donated some fifty Apsonic motorbikes to the New Patriotic Party in the Oti Region.

The donation which was done to the party’s regional executives in the Oti regional capital of Dambai is expected to be distributed to all eight constituencies in the region to support campaign activities ahead of the December 7 polls.

According to Mr. Krapa, the donation of the bikes is in recognition of the fact that the newly created regions need more resources to be able to sustain the campaign towards the second term of the party and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

He said, “I recognize the fact that the newly created regions would need more support in terms of resources and logistics to be able to sustain the great work they are doing and here in Oti, there is a certain wind of victory blowing through the region and so it’s only prudent we support them to enable them to deliver.”

He added that the target is to annex to the New Patriotic Party, five of the eight parliamentary seats being held currently by the opposition National Democratic Congress.

“I’ve told the leadership of the party [in Oti] that a minimum of five constituencies, we’re expecting that they should be able to deliver for the New Patriotic Party,” he noted.

Mr. Krapa further called on the rank and file of the party to turn their attention to regions and constituencies alike, that may be needing more resources to ensure that the party [NPP] stays in power after the December 7 elections.
