Ruweida Lamptey, founder of the tennis chic club and a former beauty queen says she is poised to help women in tennis take centre stage in the sport.

In an interview with GHOne TV, she said she is determined to change the narrative in women in tennis in the coming years.

“The focus is on women because we want to breach that gap and encourage more women to play tennis. Women playing Tennis is beautiful”.

In her bid to get more women to play tennis, she intimated how her outfit scouts and develops talent from schools.

“We scout for talents from schools and organize tournament for girls who want to play tennis”

Ruweida made a passionate appeal to the yet to be vetted sports minster, Mustapha Yusif, to pay attention to female tennis if he gets the nod.

“I will plead with him to give us a listening ear when he comes to office. Organizing a tournament in Ghana is expensive, I will appreciate if he comes on board to support female tennis”.
