The Eastern Regional Women’s Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress Shirley Naana Osei Ampem says the party must win the 2024 Presidential election with a  wider margin to make it impossible for anyone to rig for another candidate.

Speaking to Starr News after an engagement with Constituency women Organizers of the party at the Eastern Regional Secretariat of the NDC, Madam Osei Ampem said the 2020 election results is a painful experience which the party will not repeat.

“Just as in 2012 Nana Addo won with a bigger margin, in 2024 we must work hard for NDC to win with a bigger margin so that nobody can deny our victory. Places where they used the military to take the seat from we are strategizing to ensure that it doesn’t happen again. Women must not be discouraged. We won the election we went to court, the court says otherwise. We accept the decision of the court even though we disagree but we are going to work hard for victory 2024. Nobody should be discouraged”.

She charged the women Organizers to commence reorganization in their Constituencies to ensure that many women are brought on board to appreciate the policies of the NDC to translate into massive victory in 2024.

The New Juaben South Deputy Constituency Women’s Organizer Kate Valaria Bedjaben on behalf of the women said the meeting has revived morale among them.

She assured that with immediate effect they will be on the ground to play their motherly roles for the victory of the party in 2024.
