With exactly 100 days to the prestigious Tokyo Olympic Games, President of the Ghana Olympic Committee, Ben Nunoo Mensah met with the Ghanaian media on Tuesday at the GOC secretariat to brief them about the plans and policies of his outfit ahead of the games.

Six athletes have so far qualified to represent Ghana at the Multi-Sports event which is scheduled to commence on 23th July, 2021 in Tokyo.

To ensure nothing is left uncovered ahead of the games, the President of the Ghana Olympic Committee, Ben Nunoo Mensah on Tuesday interacted with media officers attached to the various federations whose athletes are expected to compete at the games.

The interaction was to solicit ideas from the press officers and to be briefed officially on the plans and policies of GOC ahead of the games.

“The GOC is committed to work with you as press officers of the various federations, in fact you are core to the success of the GOC and therefore we must help brand it with positive reportage all the time” Ben Nunu Mensah said at the meeting.

Ghana has not performed creditably at the Olympic Games in recent times with Ghanaian athletes struggling to meet the qualifying mark for the games in various disciplines.
