Board member of Accra Hearts of Oak Vincent Odotei Sowah has advised the Ghana Football Association to appoint a foreign coach after the exit of CK Akonnor.

The GFA has set up a three member committee to find a replacement for coach CK Akonnor by Thursday after the terminating of his deal with the Association. Several names have come up as potential replacements for Akonnor who only managed four win, two draws and four losses since he took charge of the team in January, 2020.

Speaking on Starr FM, the former GFA Presidential aspirant said it’s about time the FA together with government come into an agreement and appoint a competent foreign coach on a long term basis for the Black Stars.

“Currently our Black Stars is not good enough and so we should not be kidding ourselves into believing all is well”.

“If I was in charge, I will appoint a foreign competent coach for four years so that we use the four to build a team for the AFCON and see if we can qualify for the next world cup”.

“We should do this and I believe if we are able to do that we will get back to our glorious days “Odotei added.

A three member committer led by the vice president of the Ghana Football Association, Mark Addo have been tasked to find a replacement for CK Akonnor by Thursday.
