Leading Goal scorer at the ongoing CAF Women’s Champions League, Evelyn Badu has described Hasaacas Ladies coach Yussif Bassigi as the best coach in women’s football in Ghana. Yussif Bassigi has been a strong pillar in Hasaacas Ladies since joining the team in 2012.

Under his guidance the team has become one of the most decorated Ghana premier league sides, having won the women’s league 5 times. Bassigi is on the verge of making history with Hasaacas Ladies, by winning the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions league to take their trophy haul for this season to four.
Midfielder Evelyn Badu who has credited her current form to coach Bassigi, tell Starr FM Sports in an exclusive interview in Cairo that women’s  football in Ghana will be incomplete without Yussif Basigi.

“I have worked and passed through the hands of a lot of coaches and not that they are not good but when it comes to women’s football, Basigi is number one. You can’t do Women’s football without him, he is very good, he really knows what women football is about.” She said.

“He is one coach that a day before a match, he will call players one by one and tell them what they are supposed to do before the match day” She added.

Hasaacas Ladies will face South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundows in the final of the CAF Women’s Champions league on Friday at the El Salam Stadium in Cairo.
