The Deputy Nigerian High Commissioner to Ghana, Gambo Yusuf Hamza has urged Nigerians living in the country to obey the laws of the host county.

Mr. Hamza made the comments in Ghana’s capital, Accra as some community leaders and known Nigerian personalities in the country met to celebrate popular on-air-personality, Omobola Precious on Sunday, October 31, 2021.

He called on Nigerians to emulate the strides made by Precious who is a presenter at Accra base radio station, Ahortor Fm.

Popularly known as Omo Naija meaning a Nigerian in the local Yoruba dialect, the colourful event was used as a medium to mark her 5th year anniversary as a media personality in Ghana, the launch of her movie “Untamed Fame” as well as her birthday which was celebrated in August 2021.

Amongst the dignitaries present at the event were Samuel Ampofo, National Chairman of Ghana’s largest opposition party, the National Democratic Congress, Dr. Chukwudi Ihenetu, King of the Igbo Community in Ghana (Eze Ndigbo Ghana), President of Nigeria in Diaspora Commission (NIDO), Honorable Abike Dabiri Arewa, Executive director of Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa – FARA (FARA) Mr. Yemi Akinbamijo, high-ranking officials from the Nigerian High Commission in Ghana including Deputy Gambo Yusuf Hamza.

In honor of the support he has granted her all these years, a citation was presented to the Founder and C.E.O of Ahorto FM and the National Chairman of Ghana’s largest opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ampofo.
