The International Cricket Council has announced that Pakistan will host ICC Champion Trophy in 2025 on Tuesday at a Cricket board meeting.

Pakistan last staged an ICC event in 1996 and will be co-hosting the ICC World Cup along with Sri Lanka and India.

However, in July Pakistan Cricket Board submitted an expression of interesting to host six International Cricket Council (ICC) event in 2021-31 cycle.

The current chairman of the PCB, Ramiz Raja expressed his delight in the upcoming development.

“It’s a matter of great pride and delight that Pakistan will be hosting ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

This great news will surely excite millions of Pakistani fans, expats and world fans to see great teams and players in action and will allow the world to sample our hospitality”.
