Heads of Brands and Communications for Asante Kotoko, David Obeng Nyarko has stated that the aim of the Nana Yaw Amponsah led administration is to lift Kotoko’s standard to that of  Egyptian clubs, Al Ahly and Zamalek.

The Porcupine Warriors have began the Ghana Premier League season with a bang, winning three of their first three games.

He revealed this in an  interview on Monday Night Football on Starr FM. According to David Obeng, their main aim is to restore Kotoko to its glory days, he also stated that the team aspires to be in the same league as the current top teams in Africa.

“Our main aim is to take Kotoko back to it’s glory days where Asante Kotoko is recognized as a big club not only in terms of name and history but also in terms of structure, infrastructures, contents and also has influence on the society as well.
We want Asante Kotoko to be regarded in the same category of Al-Ahly, Zamalek, TP Mazembe and the rest of the African clubs who are making massive impact on the African continent” he said on Starr FM.

Kotoko are currently on top of the Ghana Premier with nine points and will welcome Techiman Eleven Wonders to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in match week four.
