President of Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku has intimated that he will ensure CAF review the format for the African Women Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Black Queens crashed out of the AWCON qualifiers after suffering a 2-1 defeat on aggregate to the Super Falcons of Nigeria in a two legged home and away matches

Ghana was in Port F with Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Benin, Niger and Nigeria.

According to the FA president, it is unfair for African football giants to be in the same group

“I want the format changed because Africa must be represented by the best clubs, by the best Nations, by the best national teams and if it is that Ghana has to play against Cameroon, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, it is not fair”

“It is something that I’m going to push until justice is done. The black queens deserve to be at the next level of the game,” he said

Black queens have also missed out on the FIFA 2023 Women’s World Cup which will be jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
