The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Vedant Global Business Solutions Ltd, Ivy Yayra Tessu, was adjudged the Female Service Provider Entrepreneur of the Year at the Youth Entrepreneur Awards 2021.

According to the organisers of the scheme, the mission is to champion the welfare of young entrepreneurs and to imbibe entrepreneurship in the youth through capacity building, the showcasing of success stories, and advocating the development and implementation of youth-related policies in the country.

Mrs Tessu’s win was as a result of her innovative and clear-sighted ideas to establish businesses that create job opportunities for others and also her ability to defy the harsh entrepreneurial challenges facing youth attempting to establish on their own.

She is an entrepreneur, HR Consultant, Career Coach, and Certified Trainer. She has worked as an HR manager, Group HR, with over 400 employees.

Mrs. Tessu holds a BA (HR), an MBA (HR) from the University of Ghana Business School, an international and local human resource certificate from Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management (CIHRM) Ghana
Cambridge Center of Excellence ( SPHRi) USA.

The Young Entrepreneur Awards are an annual scheme established by the Youth Business Network Foundation (YBN) through its network, Ghana Startup Network, with support from the National Entrepreneurship and Innovations Program and other partners to identify and recognize young entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial individuals who defy the harsh entrepreneurial challenges that young people face when attempting to establish themselves.

The awards, therefore, place a high value on innovative, enduring, and daring individuals who try to realize bold and clear-sighted ideas to establish businesses that create job opportunities for others, thus complementing existing efforts to solve Ghana’s development needs.
