The Community Education and Youth Development Directorate at the National Commission on Culture has held the third edition of its yearly corporate night of cultural carols and nine lessons.

Held under the theme ‘Love Connections’, the concept, is to celebrate the union between Christians, Muslims, and traditionalists, hence the multi-religious approach to giving praises to God for this gift of life.

Speaking at the event held on the premises of the directorate on December 17, Director of the CEYD Dr Akosuah Abdallah indicated “what is important at this period is for us to use this event to further develop and uphold the theme of love connection among all sundry.”

She went on “may this unique event be a life-changing experience and bring many more blessings upon our lives and all those who have joined us for the first time, just know that we all love you and do care very much as an institution.”

Dr Abdallah called for support noting “this our last  event for the  year,  come next year it’s our hope that we can call you to support our flagship program, our reading programme, educational program, and Emerging Scenes, just mention a few.”

Speaking on the sidelines of the event, the Manager in charge of cargo at Goldstar Air [Sponsors] Eric Eshun Mettle said “when we talk about the future of this nation, we talk about the young ones, the kids and seeing the work that is being done here by Dr. Akosua Abdalla, we decided that we are going to be part of this move and ensure that the young ones that are brought up and being trained to be able to reach their potential.”

“One thing that is clear is the central government cannot do everything all by itself, they need the private sector and Mr. Bannerman (CEO) as a good citizen of this nation reckons that he must come on board to help the government to ensure that our young ones are able to reach the limit of their potential.”

The event also received support from Papa’s Pizza.
