The Rotary Club of Accra Sunrise has donated four wheelchairs to inmates wheel of the Accra Rehabilitation Center.

The wheelchairs were supplied by Rotary International as part of its global efforts to improve lives and create a better world.

The wheelchairs have special features to facilitate the mobility of the beneficiary inmates.

President of the Rotary Club of Sunrise Nana Aba Sagoe said the centre was selected in view of its relationship with the Rotary Club of Accra Sunrise.

” We have a special relationship with the Accra Rehabilitation Centre and we would like to keep that relationship. The building over there is our charter project. We renovated the dining hall and the dormitory at the cost of about 40,000 USD. So this centre is so dear to us and we will continue to support them”, she said.

On his part, the Manager of the Accra Rehabilitation Centre Seth Dzidzornu expressed his gratitude to the members of the Rotary Club of Accra Sunrise for the gesture. He was hopeful that the wheelchairs will improve the lives of the beneficiaries and the operations of his outfit.

After the donation, a Christmas party was thrown for the kids to have a feel of the festive season.
