Accra FM talk show host, Kwabena Bobie Ansah has been granted GH¢50,000 bail by the Kaneshie District Court with two sureties.
The case heard on Friday, 11th February 2022 has been adjourned to March 14, 2022.
Mr. Bobie Ansah was picked by uniformed security officers after his show on Thursday evening.
He was initially detained at the Nima Police station and later taken to the striking force unit of the Police.
In court today was a teeming supports from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as well as some big wings, the National Chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, the National Organizer of the NDC, Joshua Akamba among others.
A police statement said he refused to honor invitations to him.
“Mr. Kwabena Bobbie Ansah of Accra FM was arrested yesterday, February 10, 2022, by the Accra Regional Police Command in connection with an alleged case of publication of false news and offensive conduct.
“His arrest became necessary after he turned down several invitations from the Police to him and others involved in the case to assist with investigation,” the statement said.
