The Trainer for Freedom Jacob Caesar’s tigers, Samuel Tiwonitaaba Kuteba, says the tigers are not dangerous as some residents say because they have all been declawed.

Residents within the Wonder World Estates Avenue Lincoln near the British High Commission at Ridge in Accra say they are scared of the tigers.

According to the residents, the tigers disturb by making noise at night, and they also stink.

But, the trainer disagrees.

“Tigers have some areas in their lives that make them very dangerous, that is their nails. So we said if that is the dangerous part of them then why can’t we declaw them, so these animals that we are talking about that they are dangerous, their nails have been declawed, they don’t have nails,” the trainer disclosed to Journalists on visit to the Jacob Caesar’s residents on Friday.

He continued: “I love to be with them because of the way they are. Tigers have some areas in their lives that make them very dangerous, that is their nails. So we said if that is the dangerous part of them then why can’t we declaw them, so these animals that we are talking about that they are not dangerous, their nails have been declawed, they don’t have nails.”

Mr. Tiwonitaaba Kuteba stated the tigers are friendly and harmless.

“Since I came into contact with these animals I realized it is nice to be with them. Every time I come near them I don’t want to go back home because it is nice to be with them, they have a way of communicating,” he added.
