The Ghana Athletics Association has inaugurated a 7-member Committee
for the upcoming Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) Region ll Athletics Championship which will come off in Cape Coast from 18th – 22nd May.

The competition which will serve us qualification to the U-20 World Athletics to be staged in Colombia this year, will witness about 15 African Countries battling for honors at the Championship.

The members of the committee include GAA CEO Bawa Fuseini,
Marc Dradozie, Samuel Ayer, Julius B. Apidogo, Jeffery Owusu , Afia Serebour who is the secretary of the committee and Mohammed Adjei Sowah as the Chairman.
Addressing the media after the swearing in, Chairman of the Committee, Adjei-Sowah assured government of doing their possible best to host a successful competition.

“We thank each and every one here for the guidance and support and we assure you that we are going to put our best foot forward interms of organizing,  participation, officiating and delivery. So that it will be the stepping stone to greatness. We assure you that, we are going to do our possible best so continue supporting us”

The Committee has been mandated to oversee the organization of the African Athletics (CAA) Region ll Athletics Championship.
