Gateway Real Estate Africa (GREA) and Appolonia City have opened the first commercial office building for public use.

The building named after the late Chief of the area, Nii Tei Adumuah II, was developed by Gateway Real Estate Africa and conveniently located off the Adenta-Dodowa Road and strategically positioned at the entrance to Appolonia City.

GREA is a leading property developer and manager with operations across Africa, offers corporate office and retail space in the 4 million Grade A building.

Addressing the gathering at the launch, the Minister for Works and Housing, Francis Asenso-Boakye who was the special guest said the Appolonia city vision is in line with the government’s ambition of providing decent housing for citizens.

“On behalf of the government, I commend Gateway Real Estate Africa and Appolonia City for their foresight in developing high-quality office in a decentralized location that is free from the traffic congestion of central Accra,” Mr. Asenso-Boakye stated.

The Chief Executive Officer for Appolonia City, Bright Owusu-Amofah, said the launch of Adumuah Place- the first commercial building for the area is a moment that they will all take in and enjoy.

“If you take a good look at the building, I am sure you will all agree that the completion of Adumuah Place is an achievement the entire team and stakeholders should be proud of.
“It all started as a vision and with residents living on site and companies like Main One already operating at the Appolonia Industrial Park, the Live, Work and Play mantra is progressively taking shape,” he narrated.

Adumuah Place provides world-class office accommodation and will include a pharmacy, medical clinic, grocery shop and restaurant for our residents.

According to the developers, plans are already afoot for a second phase which will include more retail space and other amenities adding that “we currently have over 700 homes at various levels of development.”

“This includes the completion of the first phase of 100 affordable homes which were launched by His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. Plans are advanced for a second phase, and we have the capacity to deliver up to 2,000 homes within the next few years.

“Our industrial park is also experiencing rapid uptake. We have partnered with MainOne to build the first phase of a $5 million data centre which is now delivering high-speed fibre optic infrastructure to Appolonia City and will be extended to other parts of Greater Accra in the near future.”
