The Member of Parliament for the Ho Central Constituency, Benjamin Komla Kpodo has donated 145 boxes of LED street light to the Ho Municipal Assembly.

The donation is in support of a project by the Assembly aimed at lightening every dark corner in the Municipality especially outside the Ho township.

The LED street lights, according to Mr. Benjamin Komla Kpodo were lobbied from the Ministry of Energy.

Presenting the street lights to the Assembly on Wednesday, Mr. Kpodo remarked, “This initiative is meant to support the Assembly’s recent project which was targeted at brightening every dark corner in the electoral areas.”

“It will increase visibility and also enhance the security situation within the Municipality; thieves operate in darkness and once we lighten up all these places their operations would be curtailed because they’re likely to be seen,” the Ho Central MP added.

The Presiding Member for the Ho Municipal Assembly, Mr. Mawunyo Agbe who received the lights on behalf of the Assembly, thanked Mr. Kpodo for the initiative while adding that the gesture would augment the efforts of the Assembly in ensuring that the entire Municipality is lightened up.

He assured the MP that the lights would be used purposefully.
