Inflation rate moved from 33.9 percent in August 2022 to 37.2 percent in September 2022.

The Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) released the new figure on Wednesday October 12, 2022.

CPI for September 2022 based on the new series was 140.6.

Month-on-month inflation between August 2022 and September 2022 was 2.0%.

Food inflation (0.437) was 37.8%, with Month-on-month Food inflation hitting 2.2%.

Non-food Inflation (0.563)  was 36.8% while month-on-month Non-Food inflation was 1.7%.

Inflation for locally produced items shot up to 35.8%.

Also inflation for imported items was 40.7%.
