A subsidiary of EIB Network in the Western Region Empire FM has grabbed four awards at this year’s Western Radio and Television Personality Awards – WRTP.
Empire FM the leading urban station in the twin city of Sekondi Takoradi was adjudged the best radio station of the year.
One of the station’s entertainment flagship programs, Showbiz Today was awarded the best radio program of the year.
The station on air personalities also grabbed other laurels. Herty, the now host of the Brunch Mix, won the entertainment journalist of the year. Joseph Kobina Amuah the lead news anchor was also crowned the English newscaster of the year.
These awards go to affirm the station’s household acclaim as the most listened urban station due to it’s numerous on air contents, social events and online engagement.
The WRTP is an annual event by organizers Ex-One Entertainment to honor distinguished media personalities in the Western Region.
