Chairman hopeful for the NDC-UK & Ireland Chapter Conrad Dumbah has congratulated winners of the Youth and Women organizers elections of the party.

The opposition NDC over the weekend retained George Opare Addo as National Youth Organizer of the party and Dr. Hannah Louisa Bissiw as Women’s Organizer in a fiercely contested election in Cape Coast.

In a statement, Conrad Dumbah congratulated the winners urging them to work in the interest of the party. There are fears the acrimonious contests between George Opare Addo and Brogya Genfi as well as that of Dr. Hannah Bissiw and Margaret Ansei will affect unity in the party going into the 2024 elections.

Conrad however appealed to the winners to bring on board the defeated aspirants in their quest to secure victory for the party come 2024.

Mr. Dumbah also urged the defeated candidates to avail themselves whenever called upon to work in the interest of the party.

He also commended the EC and organizing committee for a successful conference. Mr. Dumbah however condemned the violence that nearly marred the event. He threw his support behind a statement by the party leadership of working closely with the police to fish the culprits out since they were not delegates.

Mr. Dumbah also wished the party and all aspirants well in Saturday’s National Delegates Congress where national officers will be elected.
