The enchanting allure of a 1927 Dodge Charger appeared to have literally cast a ‘watch me spell’ immediately after it poured gracefully into the Bee Basto washing bay; Flaunting its royal relic of an imposing imperial crown.
It was simply irresistible as several pairs of eyes were locked on this antique make, with all its royal features as it assumed the centerpiece of this year’s Ultimate Car Wash organized by EIB’s Ultimate 106.9FM in Kumasi.
The event turned out a huge success as by one o’clock, just halfway into the event, over 600 vehicles of all brands and make had driven into the washing bay for some thorough washing, absolutely free of charge.
The heavily patronized event was not just a moment to have staff of Ultimate and Abusua FM pamper the vehicles of listeners, but a stimulating opportunity for networking with friends and businesses that took advantage to meet new clients.
“I drive a Toyota Corolla. It’s been a wonderful experience. They took nothing from me. I want to experience this over and over from Ultimate FM,” a participant applauded.
““I use the Mercedes Benz GLE and my area is very dusty so I try to wash it before I head to town. Its great seeing many people here at the Carwash bay doing marketing and networking,” a driver who gave his name as Sibi indicated.
“I am doctor Gyimah and the one who drove in the Toyota Highlander. I think Ultimate FM has done very well organizing this and getting sponsors like Hollard Insurance to partner. You’ve made our Saturday carwash experience much easier,” another patron commended.
The B Basto Washing Bay turned up with music from DJs on rotation and rip-cracking comedy from the Master of Ceremonies, the hilarious comedian Atopa.
Major Sponsors Providence Insurance, Hollard Insurance, and PKB group of companies told ultimate news’ Ivan Heathcote – Fumador they were satisfied their expectations had been exceeded.
Events, Brands, and Marketing manager Nana Benyin Anumel was positive the station would leverage on the overwhelming patronage to amplify the Ultimate 106.9 and Abusua 96.5 FM brands in the Ashanti Region.
He pointed out, “The desire for all of us at Ultimate FM is to give back to society and more or less wash the vehicles of our listeners just to thank them for keeping faith with us. This washing bay is in the city and very close to the Stadium and this exposes the brand as well and makes the people in Kumasi know that the Ultimate Brandis still alive and around.”
A second edition of the Ultimate CARWASH is expected to come off within the course of the year as the two EIB Brands in Kumasi create more avenues to bond with listeners and give back to society.
