On Wednesday, February 1, 2023, Kati G announced and introduced her first-ever corporate social responsibility initiative, dubbed, ‘Let’s Talk About It: Suicide Awareness Ghana,’ spearheaded by herself as Organizer, Steamy Nights, and MX24 TV.

The initiative will help reduce the current alarming rise of suicide, educate the public on mental health, and focus on suicide prevention in Ghana.

Kati G has stated that many of her friends and family members, specifically in Ghana, have confided in her that they are mentally

deteriorating due to family pressure, personal growth, and financial setbacks, which narrows down towards their confessions of depression and suicidal thoughts. The rise of suicide in different regions of Ghana convinced her to roll out awareness and campaign against suicide in Ghana.

The overall outcome of this initiative is to persuade people of all ages who attend or have heard about the initiative to maintain hope and not give up on life.

Kati G has stated that she wants people to know we see you, we hear you, we want to listen to you, and help you through this tough period in your life, don’t give up.

Let’s Talk about it: Suicide Awareness Ghana will come off at e-Ananse Library from 9 am-6 pm on Saturday, March 11. All ages are welcome to participate in receiving free counseling from certified counselors. The day’s agenda will include a fair filled with performances, music, food, games, and more. This event is free to the public.
