The Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, Patrick Yaw Boamah has donated Ghc10,000 towards Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) during a brief ceremony held at Bakos Preparatory School in Abeka.

“I was privileged to be the special guest of honour at the commissioning of a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) facility at Bakos Preparatory School in Abeka.

“The facility was set up by the Muslim Women in Teaching (MUSWIT) in collaboration with the Turkish Embassy in Ghana,” the MP wrote on his Facebook.

In his welcome remarks, the MP thanked the President of Turkey, H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Turkish Embassy in Ghana for the numerous support to our country and for this great facility established for the good people of Okaikwei Central.

“I pledged my support to the Centre with a sum of Ten Thousand Ghana cedis (10,000 Ghs) which would enable them train first batch of students in TVET free in the Municipality,” Mr. Boamah stated.

In attendance at the program were; Her Excellency özlem Ergün  Ulueren, Turkish Ambassador to Ghana, Presiding Member of Okai-Kwei North, Mr. Nii Odai, Members from the TVET and officials from Turkish Embassy in Ghana.
