A medical doctor, Dr. Robert Doh who has joined the race to become the NDC’s Parliamentary Candidate for Ho Central has promised to offer new energy and force to the party.

Dr. Robert Doh is one of seven aspirants who have filed to contest in the face of the eminent exit of the incumbent MP, Benjamin Komla Kpodo from Parliament.

Speaking to the media after filing his nomination, Dr. Doh indicated that he has always been a party man who supported the party from behind the scenes for several years but feels it is the right time to lead the party as its parliamentary candidate into the 2024 elections.

Dr. Doh believes he represents the new hope and opportunities for the youth.

He announced that he will prioritise and use agribusiness, education, e-commerce, arts and entertainment to transform the lives of the people of Ho Central when given the nod.

While emphasising the impact he could make, Dr. Doh said, “There is no first-timer in politics, somebody having contested in a race before and has lost; in a competition, we only remember the first position. Whether you contested three or four times and have lost. This is a new competition, a new contest and Dr. Doh is coming with a new energy and a new force.”

Dr. Doh further noted that will operate an open door policy when given the mandate in order to lure more numbers into voting for the NDC.

Other aspirants include Mr. Raphael Kordah, an engineer, Mr. Stanley Nelvis Glatey, a former constituency secretary and lecturer at the Ho Technical University, Lawyer Selorm Dey and Mr. Ransford Kasu.

Mr. Emmanuel Kafui Dzamepe, a Sales and Marketing Manager and Mr. Edem Kpotosu, a teacher complete the list of aspirants.
