Member of Parliament for Atewa West Hon.Amoako Atta has called on the party leadership to disqualify any candidate who attempts to influence delegates.

He said the rules and regulations of the election must be strictly enforce.

He said this when he cast his vote at Koforidua SECTECH in the Eastern region.

Mr. Amoako also called on five candidates who could not be able to make it to the top five to accept defeat and throw their support to any of the top five shortlisted candidates.

81 delegates are expected to vote in the supper delegates election in Eastern region.

About 40 delegates have voted as at 11:40am.

One of the 10 presidential aspirants in the NPP supper delegates election Boakye Agyarko expressed satisfaction with the voting process so far.

Boakye Agyarko however disagrees with the party’s decision decentralizing the election saying it is misinterpretation of the party’s constitution which must be corrected.

Nonetheless he is hopeful of his chances of being in the top five.

He said the party will organize rerun untill it gets the top five.

Boakye Agyarko criticized suggestions that one who gets highest votes should be allowed to be flagbearer after the supper delegates election.

He Said such act will be unconstitutional.
