The Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Okudzeto Ablakwa has uncovered a balloon in the cost of the new Bank of Ghana (BoG) Headquarters from an initial amount of $80 million to the present $250 Millon,

The lawmaker further alleged that one of the construction firm picked through single source PPA for the project is not registered company in the country.

Mr. Okudzeto Ablakwa also alleged that another company was granted a PPA approval for project management services three months before the said company was registered.

“Unraveling the Bankrupt BoG Head Office Mystery—From an initial US$81.8million, suddenly escalating to US$121million & currently threatening to exceed US$250million; How it started during COVID-19.

“Procurement Violations & Rigged Corrupt Deals,” Mr. Ablakwa disclosed in a tweet on August 17, 2023.
